Ann Arbor choreographer and performance artist is looking for midwives' stories to use in a full-length evening of dance/theater works that explore the way midwives communicate. Anyone have any stories/anecdotes about your experiences in this regard? Gesture, unspoken communication, direct, honest, fearless words; touch, things you can't explain? Communication with the baby? I'd like to receive your stories via email if possible, along with a statement saying you will allow your words to be used in performance. I have a lot already (much gathered at the Midwifery Today conference here in Ann Arbor two years ago, but I'd like more. Or, if you prefer, my address is Whitley Hill 802 W. Washington St. Ann Arbor, MI 48103 (in case you'd rather send written stories or tape your voice and send a tape). Thanks! I will post an announcement of the performance date! (Probably September). Hope to be able to perform this at future conferences. Pass this message on!
