* Support midwifery: write about it *
In case your local newspaper has plenty of submissions about midwifery queued up you might consider writing for the readers of one of the selected and non-commercial periodicals below. Articles, midwifery jokes, graphical artwork, news items etc. are all welcome. Submissions sent to and addressed to OMEN will be forwarded to all editorships listed here. Some are prosecuted and imprisoned for what they write. Maybe more have troubles because our right on free speech isn't used and the press isn't writing for liberty. Happiness is not found in laws and regulations institutions and governments grant us but in the ability our environment leaves us to bring to expression our freedom. "It is not the fact of liberty but the way in which liberty is exercised that ultimately determines whether liberty itself survives." - Dorothy Thompson, American journalist and author (1894-1961)

"Birth Daze" 'A Free Newsletter for and by Aspiring Midwives' International; English Ms. Lori B. Frost, editorship member Free newsletter, that can be gotten online or via postal service. We are trying to publish monthly, or bi-monthly, depending on the support that we get and our free time. Our philosophy is: Being that we all come from different backgrounds, have different motivations and going down different paths. We come together sharing a common goal. We have all experienced the difficulties involved in becoming a midwife. Lack of support and encouragement at this point in the journey should not poise a great threat of surrendering. Instead of stopping there we have decided to create our own support system. Together we invite all aspiring, student and apprentice midwives to join us in uniting all our strengths and powers into creating the new generation of midwives. mailto:midwife1@juno.com (Lori B. Frost, Birth Daze)
