Maggie Bennett recieved her degree in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois in 1965. She has taught art in public and private schools for fifteen years. Her overlappping and ultimate profession is midwifery in which she has been engaged for twenty years. Ms. Bennett works in watercolor and pastels and is currently working on two series of images designed for color laser reproduction. The Yoni Series celebrates the feminine essence. The Altar Art series is collection of small images of pregnant godessess and pregnant women which are suitable for including on an altar or other small space. Maggie draws her inspiration from the the women, whose bodies she serves and whose spirit touch her soul.
